JOURNEY KIDS
+ First time?
If it is your first time bringing your child to Journey Kids, don’t worry - we will be there to help you along the way. All you have to do is head to either lobby and find any volunteer with an orange name tag or check-in kiosk, and we will get you on your way!
+ How do I check my child into Journey Kids?
On your first visit, look for the Journey Kids Check-in area. If you can’t find it, one of our staff or volunteers with an orange name tag can direct you! At the Check-in area, you'll be welcomed by a Journey Kids volunteer who can show you how to get checked in and learn the lay of the land. To check your child in, we’ll need some information at that time including a parent/guardian’s name, your child's name and birthday, your address, your phone number, and any special instructions. This information is solely as a means of safety for your child. We'll be there every step of the way, right up to when you drop your kids off at the appropriate room, so feel free to ask questions!

+ How does Journey Kids ensure my kid is safe and secure?
At Journey, safety is one of our highest priorities. You can be confident that your kids’ environments are specifically designed with their safety for both their physical and emotional well-being. That's why we have a secure check-in system as well as a safety team on duty every week. Upon check-in, you'll receive matching identification stickers. Your child will need to wear their name tag sticker, and you will need to keep the matching tag. After the service, you'll show the Journey Kids leader your matching tag in order for your child to be released from their room. Every volunteer leader and security team member is screened, participates in a background check, and receives appropriate training. In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we will send you a text message.
+ I have a child with specific needs and/or allergies. Is there anything I should know before I take my kid to Journey Kids?
If you have a child with allergies or has specific needs you want us to be informed and aware of, please include that information on the check-in registration and inform all Journey Kids volunteers in direct proximity to your child’s care. Our goal is to make every child and parent/guardian feel safe and comfortable to make your experience at Journey a positive one.
HOW WE PARTNER WITH PARENTS
At Journey, we PARTNER with parents as they disciple their children. Through this simple act, we continue the multiplication of the gospel through the next generation. Together, we can help inspire, equip, and pray for your children as they grow in their faith.
Here are some practical ways that each week you can help us make the most of your child’s time at church:
Pick a consistent service time to help your kids build a consistent relationship with their Small Group leader and other kids their age.
Spend consistent time in scripture with your children and allow them to see you engage in scripture regularly. A simple place to start would be with the weekly scripture via our WonderInk Curriculum here.
Grow in your faith and build relationships with other Journey members by getting involved in a Journey Group here.
Pray for your children each week as they come to church, and pray for our teams as they serve and care for your kids.
